The kiss is a painting that the Austrian painter Gustav Klimt made in the period 1907-1908. The painting became world famous in the flower power era.
The painting shows a large man kissing a woman on the cheek. The man is wearing a robe with angular symbols on it; the woman's clothes show round symbols. The couple is standing on the edge of an abyss, in a field full of flowers. It is not known whether Klimt had a symbolic intention in this regard.
